I have lost track of how many laps of the lakes I have done over the years, but I will never get tired of the walk and the familiar awakening of my senses that take me back to my childhood, resurfacing lost memories. I made these images shortly after a storm which left a trail of destruction, and disrupted the atmosphere at the lakes, creating new layers of notalgia to the before, when my favourite tree still stood tall, now no longer able to give shelter from the elements.
